Parent permission must be obtained in order to perform an evaluation. A speech-language evaluation may consist of a variety of tests. Typically a combination of standardized and informal testing will be used. The examiner will notify you of the week during which your child will be tested. The evaluation will be completed in a timely manner and you will be invited back to discuss the results. At this time we will determine as a team whether or not your child is in need of a special service. If so, an IEP will be established.
