     SCWINS Scholarship
    • New this fall, Tri-County students majoring in critical workforce areas may be eligible for a scholarship that takes tuition from $185 per credit hour to $35 per credit hour for the 2019-2020 aid year. (Tuition rate applies to residents of Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. Other eligible SC residents receive significant discounts as well.) Visit https://www.tctc.edu/scwin

      The Cantrell Scholarship

      • Need based scholarship provided by Wren Middle School PTO
      • $1000 (1st place award) and $250 (2nd place award)
      • Must be planning to attend a 4 year college
      • Must have attended Wren Middle School for one full year
      • Applications must be picked up in the School Counseling Office from Mrs. Fry or Mrs. Norfolk
      • Applications are due by March 6th at 3:30 p.m.

    Wren Student Memorial Scholarship

    • Merit based scholarship funded by Wren Middle School PTO
    • $1000 (1st place) and $250 (2nd place award)
    • Must be planning to attend 4 year college
    • Must have attended Wren Middle School for one full year
    • Applications must be picked up in the School Counseling Office from Mrs. Fry or Mrs. Norfolk
    • Applications are due by March 6th at 3:30 p.m.

     

    Anderson Association of Educational Office Professionals (AAEOP)

    • Must plan to continue education in office-related business program
    • Student must have completed four semesters of business classes
    • Must have a “C” average overall and a “B” average business classes
    • Must be a resident of Anderson County
    • Application materials were sent to seniors by email
    • Applications are due by March 15, 2020

    ASD1 Loves Teachers Scholarship

    • Must be planning to enter a 4 year college and plan to pursue a teacher education program
    • One senior per high school in the district will be awarded a $1000 one time scholarship
    • Application materials were sent to seniors by email
    • Applications are due to your school counselor by April 3, 2020

    SC Federal Credit Union Scholarship

    SC PFLAG Scholarship

    • $1000 scholarship available
    • Must identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, or a straight ally
    • Must have a 3.0 GPA
    • Applications materials were sent to seniors by email
    • Applications are due by May 1, 2020

    SC Law Enforcement Officer’s Foundation Scholarship

    • $3000 (1) and $2000 (2) scholarships
    • Must be planning to attend college in South Carolina
    • Application materials were sent to seniors by email
    • Applications are due by February 21, 2020

    James F. Byrnes Scholarship

    • $4,500 ( renewable for 4 years)
    • Students’ must have one or both parents deceased
    • Must have financial assistance to attend college
    • Must have a satisfactory academic record
    • Must be planning to attend a 4 year college
    • Applications have been sent to seniors by email
    • Applications must be postmarked by February 1, 2020

    • Must be planning to attend a 3 or 4 year college in SC
    • Must plan to pursue a career in education
    • Must have a good academic record and maintain a 3.0 or higher while in college
    • Must have leadership skills and demonstrate financial assistance
    • Application emailed to seniors
    • Applications are due March 16, 2020

    Light Up a Life Scholarship

    • Must be a child of a current employee of Prisma Health
    • Or be a child or grandchild of an active Prisma Health volunteer
    • Or be an active volunteer at a Prisma Health facility
    • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 
    • Must be planning to pursue a career in the healthcare profession
    • Must demonstrate financial need, and traits of high personal character and leadership

    • 3 $500 scholarships of ASD1 seniors
    • Must submit a teacher recommendation

    • Applications are due in Guidance by March 3, 2020

    Jerry Wilbur Little Memorial Scholarship

    • Students must be seniors who are Christian men and women; a letter from your pastor is required
    • Financial need will be considered and FAFSA must be complete
    • Applicants going into a church related vocation or the graphic arts will be given preference, but all field of study will be considered
    • Applications can be picked up in Guidance
    • Applications are due by April 15, 2020

    Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship

    Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship

    • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and be ranked in the top 20% of the class

    • $1,500 (1 scholarship for a student in ASD1)

    The Bobby Chapman Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Program

    • 2 applications per high school can be selected to be sent to the foundation for review
    • Application requires an essay
