• The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a non profit organization.  Its members are a diverse group and are located all over the country-including more than 1,200 colleges and universities, conferences and other organizations. 
     
    Divisions:
     
    There are three divisions of NCAA member schools: Division I, Division II, or Division III.  
     
    If a student desires to play a college sport at the Division I or II level, he/she must register with the NCAA at
     
    The best time for students to register is at the beginning of the junior year of high school.  In addition, they need to request for the high school to send their transcript at the end of the junior year and their final transcript after graduating from high school.
