Palmetto High School
WELCOME students and families!!My name is Jessica Ross, and I teach Essentials of Math, Essentials of Science, and Employability Education. Beth Watkins is our classroom assistant.
I graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an additional Special Education certification in Learning Disabilities. This year is my 6th year teaching at Palmetto High. I have worked in the public school system for 16 years. I began teaching preschool in 2004 with the Family Literacy program and working in transportation for Ware Shoals District 51. My husband, three children, and I moved to Pendleton in 2007, and I worked in Anderson School District 4 transportation. I began working here at PMHS in 2015 and one of my sons is also a high school student and my daughter starts her 1st year of college this year--so, parents, believe me, I can relate! I am extremely honored for the great opportunity to be a part of Anderson School District One and grateful to work here at Palmetto High with some of the most extraordinary students, teachers, and staff.
Thank you for visiting my class page, and I hope you'll stop by our classroom and see what our students are working on in Math, Science, and Employability!
Students, I am sincerely honored to be one of your high school teachers, and I will work hard to make this your BEST year yet! I am looking forward to learning about how YOU, as a student, learn best.
Parents, I believe communication is critical, so PLEASE do not hesitate to call, e-mail or stop by--I will do my very best to answer all of your questions.
