    I have had the pleasure of teaching young children for over 20 years. Previously, I have taught 5 year old kindergarten, special education (K-4th grade resource) and first grade. I was born in Greenwood, SC and graduated from Palmetto High School.  I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. I also added Learning Disabilities and Early Childhood as areas of certification. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2001 and completed certification renewal in 2010.  Most recently, I completed my Doctoral degree in 2014 which focused on literacy skill development for students with severe speech impairments.  I live in Pelzer with my husband Kyle, and our four children.  We enjoy playing outside, riding in the boat, swimming, and watching Clemson football.  Go Tigers!!
