Hello!  Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year.  This is my 25th year as a resource teacher.  Prior to joining the Wren Middle School family, I taught in Greenville County as well as  Pennsylvania.  I taught all grade levels from Kindergarten through grade twelve.  I am certified to teach students with varying disabilities.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania and a Masters of Education degree from Clemson University.  I also have an Education Specialist degree in secondary school leadership from Furman University. I am married to my college sweetheart and have three children. My oldest son, Andrew and his wife Darby, have a music ministry, a Better Covenant, in which they tour the United States and also provide private lessons for students.  My middle son, Matthew, is a graphic specialist in Greenville and his wife, Caroline, teaches English at Pendleton High School.  My youngest daughter, Emily, is a senior at Clemson University majoring in performing arts with a minor in theatre.  I chose this profession because I feel I am making a difference in children’s lives.  As you can imagine, working with children is an absolute blast, although the paperwork is another story!  I plan to do all within my power to help your child become the best they can be because they deserve it.  Students will believe “failure is not an option.”  As the parents of my students, please know that your involvement is welcomed and encouraged.
