Welcome to Ms. Altieri's Classroom!
Phone: (864) 269-4571
My name is Dee Altieri. Prior to teaching, after receiving a Bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University, I worked for a private non-profit organization serving special-needs adults. This is my first full year as a teacher although it is my 9th year at Concrete. I was a K5 teacher's assistant for 7 years, during which time I earned my Master's in Special Education from Francis Marion University. After graduating, I accepted a long term substitute position at Wren Elementary in an early elementary self-contained classroom. I then returned to Concrete as a resource teacher. I am grateful to be able to remain in ASD1 and teach here at Concrete!
My children and I have lived in Powdersville for 15 years, moving here from New Jersey. I have 4 children-all boys and each one is amazing in their own unique way. My oldest graduated from Clemson 2 years ago and his brother just began his third year of college to earn a degree in turf management. My third son is a junior at PVHS and the youngest is starting 8th grade this year at PVMS. Our home is not often a quiet place but I cherish the time I have with my family. We enjoy going to the beach and hiking together and watching major league baseball (go Yankees!) I love children and am excited to be a part of instilling in them a love for learning and for their classroom community!
