Hello Cedar Grove Family! My name is Joy Harvell. I graduated from Francis Marion University with a BA in Early Childhood Education. I also hold a Master's Degree in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I have taught kindergarten, first and second grade in the 21 years that I have been teaching.

I am married to Rev. Michael Joe Harvell. We have been married for 28 years and have two amazing daughters, Gracie and Hope. Gracie is 21 and Hope is 16. We also have an amazing Son-in-Law, Dylan. One of our biggest blessings is our little granddaughter, Addi Jo.  We love going to the beach, exploring nature, and hanging out with our family and friends. 

This will be my fourth year at Cedar Grove as a teacher, but I have many fond memories of growing up as a student at Cedar Grove. I am so excited to be back home teaching kindergarten!
