Hello and welcome to Mrs. Bauman's 8th grade science class!

My goal this year is to help my students be successful by giving them help, love, and support as they learn and grow.

In my free time, you can find me cooking/baking, hiking, working out, gardening, drinking coffee, reading and spending time with my husband and our pup, Nova!

My favorite aspect of teaching is building relationships with my students. As I grow in my understanding of them as people, I can provide outlets for them to express their creativity and uniqueness. I look forward to cultivating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring their ideas!

I fell in love with education at an early age while helping in Sunday School at my church. In high school, I discovered a passion for chemistry and other sciences and gained teaching experience through tutoring my peers. College led this North Carolina native to the Upstate. I attended Bob Jones University and received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Middle School Math and Science Education, and I am currently enrolled in a Masters of Education in Effective and Reflective Teaching program through Clemson University.

After receiving my Bachelor's degree, I was blessed to join the Wren Hurricanes family where I have been teaching the last three years!

Education is a life long journey- my students are constantly teaching me! I am very excited to be a part of the Wren community and to invest in the lives of my students. This will be a year of growth as we learn and develop together!
