This is my 17th year teaching 2nd grade at Concrete Primary! I graduated from Easley High School in 2001. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Lander University in 2005, earned my Masters in Educational Administration and Supervision from Clemson University in 2008, and earned my +30 certification in middle level science in 2018. I live in Powdersville with my husband, David, our beautiful daughter Macy, and our precious miniature schnauzer, Dexter! :)

 

I am very passionate about children and learning and have been working towards my goal of becoming an educator since I was inspired by my own second grade teacher, Mrs. Alice Foutz. Nothing excites me more than seeing the "lightbulb" turn on as a child learns something new.  I strive to create a classroom environment in which the students have fun, love, and respect each other.  

 

I enjoy seeing new places, reading, music, being near the water, crafting, shopping, coffee, and spending time with my family!
