• What is the School Improvement Committee and what is its purpose?

The purpose of a School Improvement Council is to serve as an advisory committee to a school's principal and faculty.  SICs are mandated by law to exist in every public school in South Carolina.  The Council plays a key role in the education of our children by bringing together parents, educators and community stakeholders to work collectively to improve their local schools.  The most up-to-date information and data on the school's programs are shared with the Council each month.  At Wren High School, this active group prides itself in forward growth, vision and progression for the betterment of all WHS Hurricanes.  Meetings are held generally on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30pm in the WHS Library.
