Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to my science class!
This begins my ninth year at Powdersville and my nineteenth year in education. I enjoy teaching physics and chemistry and I love working with high school students. I'm very excited about the many activities and labs we will explore this year. I believe science is a verb and it should involve action and investigation! One thing that I love about teaching science is that each class day is different and filled with new adventures. My goal this year is to provide freshmen with a firm foundation for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. My goal in Honors Chemistry is to help students develop skills to participate in AP sciences, enter any college level science course, and/or pursue further education in medical and science fields. PVHS is a wonderful school in an outstanding school district. It is a great privilege to be a Patriot.
I completed a degree in Chemistry in 2003 at Clemson University and finished my Masters in Education in 2007 at SWU.
My family is a huge part of my life. My husband, Colin, works at Clemson University as a chemist. I have two daughters (ages 9 and 6). Both girls love to attend sporting events at Powdersville. In our free time, we like to spend time outdoors with our two dogs, visit our extended family, swim, and play soccer.
I look forward to getting to know my students and their families this year! Welcome freshmen, Class of 2026!
