         Welcome to the 2022 - 2023 school year!  This will be my eighteenth year teaching in Anderson School District One. I LOVE being a part of the Concrete Primary family! I have taught first, second, and third grade, but second graders hold a special place in my heart. I consider it such a blessing to be part of the great academic and social gains children make at this age. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University, and a Master of Education from Southern Wesleyan University. 
        
         I believe so strongly in students not only learning to read, but learning to LOVE to read.  It is the foundation upon which all other learning is based. I also so strongly believe that our classroom is a FAMILY. I can't wait to get to know your children and all about your families! 
        
         My husband, Grey, and I have been married for fourteen years. We have two daughters, ages eleven and eight.  Life is certainly very full right now, but we wouldn't have it any other way! In the rare event that we do have free time, we enjoy exercising, hanging at the lake or pool, and spending as much time with our sweet family as possible!
