    The management system is used for personnel filing and documentation.  Updated professional certificates can be found in TalentEd Records → Certifications/Professional Development folder → Certificate folder, and on the State site for educators.

    This form is used by employees who wish to conduct a professional development session within our district.

    The renewal credit matrix is an in-depth look, provided by the State, of acceptable credit hours for educator certificate renewal.

    Our district often offers two of the four Read to Succeed courses, Content Area Reading and Writing and Foundations in Reading at no charge to our educators.  Another option to complete the R2S required coursework is online, through Virtual SC at a cost of $85 per course.

    » Jason Flatt Suicide Prevention Module 2

    This online course is a State requirement for educators grades 5-12.  Educators will also earn two credit hours upon completion of this course.

    » SCDE Request for Change/Action

    The Change/Action form is no longer used.  All changes previously requested with the Change/Action form will be requested through SC Educator.

        Q: Where do I send my Request for Change/Action Form?

        A: You don’t! Instead of mailing, faxing, or emailing a form, you will log into your educator portal account to submit a request. The request immediately becomes part of your certification records.

        Q: Where do I send my documents?

        A: You don’t! Instead of mailing, faxing, or emailing most documents, you will log into your educator portal account and upload the documents directly into your certification records. The documents are immediately viewable in your certification records. Generally, the only exception will be transcripts; those will still require the submission of official copies by mail to the SCDE or electronically through a transcript service to transcripts@ed.sc.gov.

        Q: What if I already sent my application / form / request / document / etc.?

        A: If received prior to noon on April 29, it will be manually scanned by a SCDE representative. Otherwise, you may upload the document into your educator portal account beginning May 5th.
