In Foods and Nutrition 1 students will study the principles of nutrition, fitness, and wellness. Students will gain knowledge and experience in food safety and sanitation, meal preparation, table service and etiquette, and foods related careers. Teacher demonstrations and guided laboratory experiences will enable students to learn the preparation of a variety of foods including quick breads, desserts, and simple meals.
Foods 1 is a year-long course where students earn 1 credit for graduation.
