          Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! This will be my 24th year in education. I began my career at Wren Middle School as a 7th grade ELA teacher and have had the pleasure to teacher all middle school grades and many elementary grades in my career.  I am very excited to begin the new school year and catch up with my students after our time away from each other.  This is my second year teaching ESOL for Anderson School District One, and I am looking forward to continuing my journey with last year's students and beginning a new journey with new students.  

          When I am not at school spending time with my students, I am at home with my family.  I have been married to Jason Lanford for 25 years, and we have three children: Gareth (20), Eli (18), and Mary Helen (16).  Both of our boys attend Anderson University, and our daughter will be a Junior at Wren High School.  I also spend time helping my parents who live about three miles from us.  Along with my three children, I also have four fur babies: Keebler (Cockapoo), Buckles (Toy Poodle), Sadie Mae (Cockapoo/Chihuahua mix), and Eliose (Golden Retriever).  I love spending time with them when I get home in the afternoons!
